C&C California Frisco Smocked-waist Women's Dress

I love C&C California. This dress is comfortable and flattering for casual wear. As others have noted, the slit at the neckline is low, but it is adorable with a slim-fitting tank top underneath.

I gave this review only three stars because I purchaced it thinking it would be cute to wear to work... I am a 2nd grade teacher. I need comfort, but I also need to look professional in a classroom sort of way. The top neckline is not condusive to wearing a bra. If you do, it better be the exact same color as the dress because others will get a peek-a-boo look through the slit. Cute concept in design, but not practical. The elastic band around the waist is also a bit restricting...even if you are very thin. I hate tightness around my waist, so I pull it up a bit so it lays right on my lower ribcage...but then the neckline materialsl bunches up a little so it doesn't lay totally flat. BUT, I do get a lot of compliments in it...it is something you can throw on to run to the store, wear around the house, or wear around on a hot summer day. Material is VERY soft. I usually don't wear a bra w/ it because I can get away with it... I'm not big chested. But since the material is thin and soft, I can't do that at work!

This dress is really cute. I originally thought it would be a great work dress until I realized that the little opening in the front goes all the way down my chest and makes it difficult to wear a bra. I figured I could pin it in the front and get away with it, however! It fits well and is flattering and comfortable....very cute casual dress.
