Indeed, the scarf has a nasty smell to it; not sure if it is from the dye, or the material itself but I agree with the other reviewer - it stinks. I tried to just air it out and wore it without washing it first but I only lasted about 10 minutes... had to take it off because the odor became overwhelming. Even after the wash and dry, the scarf still has some odor left in it. I'm not sure if I can wear it again. Pity really as it is quite delicate and lovely otherwise (I have the purple one). Sorry, cannot recommend this item.

I ordered the green scarf thinking it would be darker... because that's what is pictured. A darker green scarf with hints of pale/lime green. NEGATIVE. The whole thing is really pale green. Definitely a spring color... well it's fall/winter! It can't go with anything I wear now so I have to wait till spring. So annoying! I would return it in a heart beat if O gave back a full refund. I am truly disappointed with this purchase. I've never had this sort of luck on O before but this made a big impact because this scarf was very much anticipated. UGH!

Started noticing scarves as THE fashion accessory. Shopped around and found these. Love them!

SCARF EXACTLY AS PICTURED. AS USUAL, A GREAT SHOPPING EXPERIENCE AT OVERSTOCK!

Unfortunately I purchased this scarf in pink and immediately noticed an exceptionally strong petroleum smell. Hand washed and sun dried the scarf and still the smell. Washed it again and still the incredibly strong smell. This is unwearable. Too bad, the fabric and style are great, but no way can anyone stand the smell.
