I purchased the Large/Extra Large. I have a huge head (size 7.25) and thick hair. It was the tiniest bit snug when pulled fully onto my head, but not uncomfortably so. The quality and construction was better than I expected for ***, and the print on the band is subtle and versatile enough to work with a lot of different outfits.

Got the L/XL and it's still not quite as loose as it should be. The straw is not particularly flexible, which makes it seem like it could start cracking and unraveling soon. The plaid ribbon isn't hemmed correctly, so the loose edges have started poking out. Then again, it's a pretty cheap hat.

Made for a perfect birthday gift for dad. Could go for another color for Farthers day.

Hat was much to large. Kept it anyway. Also ordered the plaid fedora at the same time, size large. It too was much to big. Sent it back and ordered a size medium plaid fedora. Guess what? It was the exact same size as the large sized one. Evidently the Chinese make one sized hat and two tags, one med and one large. Kept both hats as it is not worth the trouble of returning again. very truly yours, arthuritis

The hat is not ok for someone with a large head. Didn't fit me - but it looks good if you have a smaller head.
