These are similar in design to the saddle oxfords I wore in junior high, but mine had a white rubber sole. These have a nice black sole and the heel is of hard plastic so it clicks as you walk across the floor. It's wide enough for my wide foot and fits snugly but comfortably; the back is a little stiff so I've got to have it "hammered" lightly with a rubber mallet to make it feel better/softer. The shoe is nice and now I can do some "rah-rah" stuff with some old friends...

    This is a very attractive shoe for the price. I was pleasantly surprised. However, it is a bit long, and feels longer because it truly is a wide shoe. I usually wear size 8.5 to 9, because most widths are too narrow. This can be ordered in the correct size because you do not need to compensate with size to get a better fit.

    • BECAUSE THEY ARE AWESOME. THEY ARE FROM THE 1960'S ERA, AND THAT IS THE BEST TIME PERIOD EVER.

    • I'm using them in a theatrical performance.

    • Needed them for my Halloween costume plus I wear a lot of black and white

    • Review said it was wide in width, which I need and haven't been able to find; I like the black sole---would love a white sole like I had back in the 60's (don't like the brown ones).
