i don't know much about winter coats, but this is my first major investment since i'm moving up north. it is luxurious looking and feeling, we'll see how it puts up w/ the cold and snow come winter!

Great coat. Love the fact that is more feminine than most. The drawn in waist and the fact that it is not too bulky gives a much more streamlined appearance. The lustrous fabric gives it a more dressed look and is not over the top. The zips at the hem allow for greater stride in your step which is great. The only down side is that the hood is not detachable and the sizing if you have a generous bust is tight, so pays to order a size up!

loved the color and had friends that paid regular price for this coat. i was disappointed with the way it fit though. it was snug along the back and shoulders and i was only wearing a thin shirt. it's fitted already and found the belt not necessary. also the shape is like a bell and comes out a bit wide. i'm keeping it because i like the shiny fabric, it's keeping me warm and the price is right. oh and the neck is open, the zipper stops at the collar bone. so i have to wear a scarf.

Well, I was in love with this coat the minute I took it out of the box. I am 5'7", 128 lbs. and have a large bust. I ordered a size small. It is sort of snug around the chest, so I advise if you wear a medium shirt, you may be more comfortable in a medium. I've grown to like the snug fit because it helps keep me warmer in the outdoors. I'm not thrilled with the hood, it is not fitted and a lot of air escapes so you must wear a scarf (not like my north face). The pockets are lined very delicately with one layer of satin, so don't place keys with a heavy key chain in them or they will tear. The zipper is a problem because the fabric 80% of the time will get stuck and you have to play around with it and wiggle it until it frees up. If you are mindful of the pockets, careful with the zipper and wear a scarf in 20 degrees weather you will absolutely love this elegant coat. I feel amazing when I reach for it in my closet. I feel pretty and attractive when I am out wearing it and the snug fit allows me to be comfortable and very, very warm. I am tempted to get the chocolate colored one, I have it in black, this is such an attractive coat don't pass on this opportunity to own one, or two!
