      This is a great coat. When I first purchased this coat I had a little apprehension. My arms are long and I have always had problems ordering things from the internet without trying it on. But, I must say, so far everything I have purchased from overstock has been right on the money. This jacket is wonderful. I ordered it in a extra large for the possible length of the arms and it was a perfect fit. The coat is a perfect plain look but with a nice scarf and hat, it would set this coat off. I only had it on once since I ordered it this summer, but I believe it to be very comfortable. I would recommend this coat to a friend.

    • awesome coat

      I have been wanting to get this exact coat for over half a year now, and even after reading all the reviews, I was concerned that the "satin" meant the coat would be that cheap polyester satin that would basically get shredded if it ever caught on something. I couldn't tell from the picture either what kind of satin material it would be. But since the reviews have been so positive (thanks everyone!), I decided to go for it.I just got the coat now, and I was blown away. The satin look is very subtle, and actually quite sturdy in feel. It is not the flimsy cheap satin I was afraid of. The coat fit perfectly too--I'm usually a size 0, 5'5", 115 lbs, and I was wearing a sweater and it fit totally fine. It hits me about mid-thigh, or 3-4 inches above the knees. I LOVE everything about it, except for the fact that I was really hoping for a detachable hood and faux fur collar (just personal preference). But I think this actually looks more timeless. Now I think I might go for the black one too, just b/c it might match more things, and plus it costs less than this one!Just a note if you're more curvy--I think it's a fitted, and narrow coat generally. So if you have much sider hips, it might be snug. But I still would give it a shot. I love it.

    • Perfect Winter Coat

      This coat is beautiful....love the down for warmth and the satin finish on the outer shell. This is one shapely constructed coat. Inside zipper pocket for safe storage, deep outside pockets, tall zippered collar that keeps out the cold, and long sleeves. This coat hits mid thigh since i am 5'8" and SMALL is perfect. Love this coat, thanks Overstock!On my way to purchasing the Black.

      I am getting it in brown, too (I originally bought the black). It is unbelievably warm and amazingly chic. And the collar is great - when it's cold you don't need a scarf - the collar zips right up past your nose. Really - you should get this coat if you are on the fence. Also - the satin shine is nice - it's a great coat!

    • Warm & Cozy

      Warm, cozy, and pretty. I bought this coat for evening outdoor activities and the quality exceeds the price I paid for it. The only thing I would possibly find fault with is the zipper. It's functional but doesn't seem very sturdy. I normally wear a curvy size 0 and purchased an XS. I'm able to wear a light fleece or medium weight sweater underneath without it being too tight. It's snug but not tight. I love the color, fabric, and seaming on the coat. Very feminine and figure flattering.

    • Cozy and chic

      I ordered this jacket in a size XS thinking it would run a little large and I was mistaken, I had to return it to get a size small so I could still wear sweaters under it. It looks very nice. Able to wear with work clothes and still look professional and be comfortable (and I assume warm). I had a down jacket similar to this last year but it looked too casual. This one you can wear casual and to work. Happy with my buy : )

      This is a really nice coat. Since I bought it in the summer, I don't know how to rate it against the cold but it appears to be warm nevertheless. Fits true to size.

      I am very pleased with this jacket so far, though I haven't gotten to wear it in any cold weather yet. The color is a nice shade of brown, with a smooth sateen finish. It is a bit more fancy than I thought it would be, so if you're looking for a dressier down jacket, this is the one for you. Also, the collar is a bit larger than it appears in the picture, so don't be surprised!
