I've got wide (muscular!) calves, and was worried these boots wouldn't fit - but they're great!They tend to slouch a little after walking around awhile, but even slouchy, they're cute.The zipper is a brighter gold tone and is non-functional. These boots are NOT leather, but a pretty durable vinyl. I purposely got them b/c they aren't leather and won't get ruined walking around snowy/icy/salty Chicago streets. That said, they are not very grippy - not snow boots, obviously, so heed caution when walking on icy/salty streets! :)I've worn these almost every day, and really appreciate their versatility.

These boots are hands down HOT! The only downside is if you are looking forward to being able to zip that gold zipper up and down, they are for decorative purposes only. BUT overall these pair of boots will make the winter worth trudging through.

I really wanted to love these boots. I liked how it appeared in the pictures and the reviews were good enough for me to purchase these. But as other reviews have said, the long outer side zipper is for decoration only and does not work. There is, however, a small inner zipper around the ankle, which doesn't go all the way to the top. I am 5'10" and have good-sized calves and unfortunately the boots looked really awkward on me because it fit too tight around the calves and sagged at the bottom -- it lost its shape completely. Perhaps for smaller calved people, it won't be so bad, but the quality of the material is just average synthetic leatherette, and I doubt it will stretch out like real leather to fit the person better.

I would have never thought that KC would make a cheap boot. I bottom of the sole is plastic and the leather looks like paper. I was very upset that the boots was made so cheap. These boots will be sent back. Poor wokership.

I bought this as a gift for a friend and she just loves it. It has become her favorite boot and ahe constantly tells me how much she enjoys it. She has received a lot of complements on the way it looks and she claims it is her most comfortable pair. She says that the leather is so soft and flexible that she can wear it the whole day and not have any foot pains after removing it. Probably one of the most successful gifts I have ever given.

I bought these last winter and wear them all the time. They still look like new. I just wish the decorative zipper was white metal rather than the garish looking brass.

I have never been in love with these boots however I've gotten lots of compliments on them. They look a little cheap to me but I guess they serve their purpose. The thing I liked most about them was the price. I saw the same boots in a popular department store and they were twice the price.

I have 15 in. calves, so most boots don't fit. Do not buy these if you have larger than normal calves, they will not fit. The gold zipper is for aesthetics only, not functional. The sheen of the boots a bit too shiny for my liking as well.

these boots were definately not what i expected... the faux leather was of cheap quality, and the stitching was poor... in the description it says the shoes run a size bigger which i have to disagree with as i wear a size 8 shoe and ordered a size 7.5 and it was tight and very stiff... the sides with the decorative zippers cut and pushed into my ankles making the shoes very uncomfortable to walk in... im not the biggest person but im not the smallest either at 5'6 and a half and about 115 pounds and the calves of these boots are super huge! even when i put jeans in them... the boots definately looked better online and was of much disappointment when i recieved them this morning... totally not what i expected from kenneth cole... i hate to be the "simon" of the reviews amongst all the approving others but trust me you probably wont be getting what you hoped for and may be recieving the one's im returning because im definately sending them back... overall: 1 star

These boots a very nice! I got a half size bigger and they are fine. I like the angled zipper, even though it is a 'faux zip' it still looks cool. Because they are synthetic, I am not worried about wearing them in any kind of weather. Oh...these are my third pair of Kenneth Cole boots...in differnet styles, of course! And, I love them all!

I bought these boots before an 18 day long trip to Italy. I wanted to be stylish and comfortable. And what a deal I got!! The boots were a true fit with a little room to spare which was good because when it got cold I had to wear two socks! :-o The boots were super comfortable because we spent all day walking in Rome, Florence, Pompeii and it was also fashionable enough to just walk into a nice restaurant and not look out of place. What a great find! I have skinny calves and the fit was just right for me. Still I can stuff my skinny jeans in them. Love my boots and love Overstock!!

I wear these boots almost every day thats cold. I have a wide foot but ordered half size bigger and they fit very comfortably even with the narrow toe

The gold zipper is a little showy on the side, would look better in black

At frist the boots hurt my feet but went to work with it and walk around with by day 2 it was ok. THANKS..

I had read all of the reviews and felt confident about buying these boots sight unseen. They were way too small for my calves (and my legs are not huge!). Some of the reviews mentioned there was ample room in the calves so I bought the boots partially based on those reviews. Nice looking boots though - very disappointed they didn't fit.

This is my first experience in online shopping and I absolutely loved my purchase! It also happens to be my first set of boots. They look great, fit perfectly and are quite comfortable. I did get a shoebite at one of my heels but that could be fixed by wearing a thick pair of socks. I just wish the golden zipper that ran all the way through the boot length was functional rather than be just for show. Apart from these minor discomforts, I recommend it as it is totally worth the cost. Also, these boots are the exact regular size I generally wear - I could take a cue from the previous reviews on this.

I got what I paid for. The zipper on the side is non functional, which the description does slightly refer to. They fit nicely and as others have said run large. I usually were anywhere from a 7-8 these are 7.5 and fit great could even put on heavy socks if need be. They are not real leather as stated, but I expected better quality from Kenneth Cole. I also found a small less than a quarter inch section where there isn't any stitching on foot. Since I found it the first day I was wearing them I could not return them. i did not try because there were no others available in my size. I hope it won't get worse. The height and width of the boot is great even if you have larger calves it will fit nicely. I've worn them only once but very comfortable so far. So wouldn't purchase again, but not an awful mistake.
