I love polarized lenses! For one thing, they block the reflection of the dashboard in the windshield. Also, when the sun hits chrome and sends a blinding glare your way, the polarized feature is wonderful! I especially liked the rose lenses I got on my sports model. I bought a sporty pair, a chic pair, and another pair for my husband. He loves his, too.

If you're looking for polarized sunglasses on a budget, Peppers are what you are looking for. They are a great extra pair to leave in the car so I never have to worry about being without a pair. They are lightweight, stylish, and protect my eyes from glare.

I am only rating these good as they are too shiny for our taste but do fit well and are of good quality for sunglasses.

I lost a pair of Costa Del Mar glasses that I'd had for more than three years - a record somewhere I'm sure! It was the day before I was leaving for Costa Rica. I had to have something good so I bought a pair of Electrics - paid through the nose at the local surf shop - and loved those. But I lost them within six months - I think they fell out of the truck while changing into my wetsuit. Not ready to drop another wad of cash on sunglasses I started shopping around online and found these on Overstock. These Body Glove glasses are not as heavy/solid feeling as the premium shades I had before, but I'm not finding that to be an issue in daily wear. The lenses do a great job - I don't find myself squinting at all, and have no eyestrain. They stay on fine while running and paddleboarding (on the river - I wouldn't expect them to stay on in the surf). Overall I'm very happy with this purchase.

We purchased 2 of the sunglasses, the film on all of the lenses is disappearing after 2 months. While they looked nice when new, we cannot use them.

This US Polo Association Men's Black Sport Sunglasses matched the discription on the item page, and looked exactly like the picture. the main concern was that it came with no box or holder or any thing to protect the sunglasses.

I wanted a pair of 8-base polarized sunglasses with a gold frame, and it was hard to find one in a style that worked for me. I took a chance on these and I've been very happy with them. The frames are a nice compromise between the rounded aviator style and a more squared-off design. They're a little ornate on the sides, but if you don't mind that then they look excellent. The description doesn't say this, but they are indeed 8-base frames, which means they curve more and cover more of your peripheral vision than most standard sunglasses, which are usually 6-base or even 4-base. Great sunglasses for driving. The quality is good, but not necessarily top-notch. Much better than cheap drugstore or gas station sunglasses, but not as good as more expensive frames. I think they're well worth the clearance price.

A good pair of ski goggles will protect your eyes in many ways. Ski goggles block ultraviolet light, which can be stronger at high elevations than at near sea level. Sunlight also tends to be brighter when you're skiing because the light reflects off the snow. Ski and snowboard goggles will also protect your eyes by keeping wind and snow out better than sunglasses, and you won't have to worry about your goggles falling off or breaking as easily as sunglasses. And if you enjoy tree skiing, goggles are going to help protect your face and eyes from small branches.
Imagine that you are planning a trip that will take you from the equator to Antarctica in seven days. Now imagine that you have to limit the amount of gear you pack to 35 pounds or less. The task is getting more complicated. What kind of luggage would you choose and how would you pack for a trip that encompasses such extreme changes in climate and altitude? When Erica Davis, a paraplegic athlete, and Tara Butcher, a physically challenged athlete, climb Africa's highest peak, they will have to answer exactly those questions. The challenge: Mount Kilimanjaro rises from nearly sea level all the way up to 19,330 feet. The trail climbs from the hot bushland through rain forest, moorland, alpine desert and arctic glaciers up to the rocky Uhuru peak. A climb like Mt. Kili presents special challenges when it comes to luggage, clothing and gear. Being prepared for the weather and temperature extremes is a necessity, but it's also important not to pack too much. There is a 35-pound weight limit to each piece of luggage carried by a porter. Most climbers pack one 35-pound capacity bag to go up with a porter and one small daypack to carry up themselves. The daypack: Erica and Tara will have 7 days to summit Tanzania's Mount Kilimanjaro. As they pass from one ecological zone to the next, their needs will change and so will the contents of their daypacks. Each day Erica and Tara will repack their daypacks in anticipation of the specific challenges of the day's journey. In general, their daypacks will include things like water, snacks, dry clothing, waterproof gear and sunscreen. The importance of keeping clothing and gear dry cannot be overstated. When choosing a daypack, a small to medium backpack made of lightweight, moisture-resistant material that comes with a removable waterproof shell will be ideal. It's also helpful if the backpack has convenient access to a water bottle compartment or can accommodate a water bladder. Plenty of pockets, zipper compartments and hooks are also handy. What to pack: A sturdy but lightweight water-repellant duffel bag with a capacity of about 35 pounds is ideal for the trek to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The bag needs to have room for plenty of layers of breathable, moisture-wicking clothing and layers of fleece clothing, as well as a waterproof layer. To save space, it's a good idea to pack clothing that does double duty, such as pants that easily convert into shorts. Aside from clothing, the climb will also require accessories like sunglasses, hats and gloves, plus equipment like trekking poles and a headlamp, as well as toiletries like sunscreen, insect repellent and a first-aid kit. Support the Challenged Athletes Foundation: Overstock.com and the C.H.E.K Institute are co-sponsoring Erica and Tara's climb to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro in order to raise awareness for athletes with physical challenges who wish to participate and compete in sports. Portions of the proceeds will benefit the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF). CAF raises funds to give physically challenged athletes the opportunity to stay active and competitive in the sports they love. To show your support for physically challenged athletes like Erica and Tara, donate now to the Challenged Athletes Foundation for the Fit 4 Kili Climb.
