Steve Madden Women's Belted Coat - red
its a nice trench coat... but OMG the lining is horrible. its a sepia animal print and it is longer than the back of the coat (at least on mine). if you like animal print that may not bother you but its SO terribly ugly to me. i wish overstock had posted pictures of the lining - i would have at least been prepared for what i was getting; although i am pretty sure that the lining should never be longer than the outside of the coat. very disappointed! i will have to go have the lining shortened or possibly changed and i am not happy about it. since the coat is on sale and i like the shell it isn't worth the extra cost to return it. but i would not recommend this coat to anyone - unless they were a diehard fan of animal print. also, just to note - if you are short (i'd say 5ft 3in or shorter) or if you have a larger bum (or would like to minimize your bum) this may not be the coat for you since the length of it can make you look shorter and the pleating in the back will make your bum look much bigger. personally i like my bum (& so does my guy) and i don't mind it looking bigger. i am on the shorter side but i am not terribly bothered by the length of the skirt of the coat - however i have seen loads of comments online from other short women that have sent this style coat back for making them look shorter. by the way the coat in large measures 16 inches across the back and 25 inches in the sleeve length. i have a large bust (34/DDD) and it is a bit snug when closing all the way with a thin layer underneath. Definitely could not fit a bulky sweater under this coat. and a note to Overstock - it would be nice if you would post measurements of the coat by size as not every coat is created equal. measurements of shoulder width and sleeve length are immensely helpful when choosing a coat.

Steve Madden Belted Coat
First -- the size. It's way off. I ordered my usual size, and I could hardly get the coat on!! The sleeves were almost up to my elbows! I'm guessing the coat was two to three sizes smaller than the size indicated. The color was very dark -- almost a burgundy. The coat is absolutely darling. I gave it to a very tiny young mom that I know, and she was thrilled.
