I am usually very particular about running shoes because my foot isn't your standard size or type. I have a wide and flat foot. Even though I'm not an avid runner, I know that wearing shoes that are properly fitted are important in avoiding injuries and maintaining a regular active lifestyle, it's already hard as it is without having your 'gear' work against you. I've been fitted in a running shoe store and found that I'm a flat footed 6.5 wide neutral runner. I have only ever been properly fitted for Brooks running shoes, which I love but wanted to shop around for pricing. I went to the saucony and brooks website and entered in my specifications to find the right running shoe... one of the recommendations was the Echelon 2 and when I did some searching I found them on O.co for a very reasonable price. I ordered ONE pair and tested them out. After my first run, it was apparent this was a pretty perfect shoe for my needs. I went ahead and ordered 2 more pairs so I don't have to worry about finding ANOTHER shoe in about a year and hoping it doesn't hurt my feet or cause injuries in other parts of my body... I might add, I'm pretty short-legged (5'1") and a little on the heavy side (155-165lbs) with a small foot (6.5), so you could imagine how important it is for me to get the right shoes to help reduce the impact on the rest of my joints when I'm jogging around... Also, I got a regular size 6.5 NOT a wide (which was not available here) and the shoe fits just fine. I like that there was no rubbing on the heel and no issues with the toe portion (I've had running shoes with a little toe tip that sometimes creates some bruising on the nail portion of some of my toes- this has not been the case with these shoes). One more thing (trying to include as much info as possible here as I also rely heavily on customer reviews)- the very first run in these shoes straight out of the box resulted in NO pain whatsoever... I've since ran 5 times, each time at a length of 1.5-3 miles and I still haven't had ANY issues. They're a great shoe at a great price!
The shoes were exactly what I expected, looked just like images shown, fit perfectly and are a great quality shoe. I love them and wear them every day!
Sauconys have always been my shoe of choice for running, but the ProGrid Echelon 2 is the best yet. These shoes are stable and supportive, but light and have lots of cushion. I run 4-5 days a week and 4-5 miles at a time and these shoes are great.
Love the shoe for the comfort and the look. Have had compliments too. I do work out with them but I dont run.
Awesome shoes, have a high arch, takes a little bit to get used to.
