I jog 4 days a week (treadmill or street). I used to lift weights more than I jog so there was no need to buy running shoes. The more I ran I decided to look into Saucony and New Balance. I asked around by people I know are serious runners. I even asked a couple. One was loyal to Saucony and the other was loyal to NB. I don't agree paying $100 for shoes, but I would pay this much for Saucony Grids. These are true running shoes. If you want to wear them around the house, you'll hate them. They are sectioned off on the bottom so that when you run, parts of the sole are on the ground and parts are completely off the ground. When you walk on concrete, you can feel them griping. The heel feels like a pillow strapped on supper tight. I never realized how much my old shoes would slip until I bought the Grids. It's like an extension of your foot. You do not have to break them in, they come ready to run in. ATTENTION: Order a 1/2 size larger than you wear. A friend told me about that, it is true. I am a fan, I doubt I will ever buy another brand, maybe not another model. I love them!!!
