S.L. Fashions Women's Novelty Evening Dress

This dress is very flattering. I received a lot of compliments when I wore it at a family dinner with many cousins I seldom see. Then I wore it later that evening for dancing and got a lot of compliments again. So it worked well for dancing as well. It was also comfortable. I had some concerns about the lace and beading, that my bra straps would show. I used a black bra, and the straps stayed concealed at the shoulders. Any peeking was not noticeable.

This dress made it to the final cut for my "mother of the groom" dress. It is a nice length. Plenty of coverage but not too long. The shoulder detail gives the eye a nice draw upward and the back design is very pretty with the flounce. I thought it might stick out but instead drapes in a pretty way. In the end, I opted for a dress of a different color but I really liked the design and feel of this dress. If you need or want navy, this is a good choice.

I was upset that the dress is in a misses size. I double checked the website description and no where on there did it say this dress came in a misses size. I plan to wear this as mother of the bride so I am not a "misses" sized person. However, the dress does fit. It would look better if it were not misses.
