My New Favorite Dress
 from Nevada,  May 27, 2008

I love this dress. The fit is very flattering. The shirred bodice stretches but is actually quite firm and gives a very smooth shape to your silhouette. I am 5'8" and 140 lbs and ordered it in a medium, I think the sizing may be slightly small but it fit me exactly as I had hoped. The dress fell to just below my knees, which is exactly what I was looking for. Although, I think it may be a bit long for a shorter person. Since I ordered it in black I have little to remark about the color. However, I like the dress so much that I am considereing purchasing it in another color. This dress is a great value, I've found my "little black dress".

A very pretty dress
from Lethbridge, Alberta,  Nov 24, 2009

I loved this dress. I ordered 3 different dresses and this one fit the best. I'm a size 8 so I ordered an 8 and it fit perfectly. The ruching conceals any imperfections. I am a 'd' cup so the top fit very nice and is very flattering and I can wear a regular bra. I thought the purple color was very pretty although I originally wanted the blue but it was sold out. The fabric hangs nicely with no wrinkles. I plan on wearing this to my work Christmas party with black pumps.

Pretty but difficult to wear
from Santa Barbara, CA,  Aug 6, 2009

I bought the dress in purple, size medium. It's a gorgeous color. The problem is both the back and front are extremely low cut. It's difficult to really see that in the pictures. I can't afford to buy a new bra to fit this dress exactly. Furthermore I can't wear this well without a bra as there is no support for my chest (34C). It's not flattering. I've attempted to pair the dress with a lavendar tank underneath, but it doesn't really work. The shirring is good in theory -- the size of the dress was a little small, so it hugged more than I wanted, but there's no way I could have gone up to a size large (where would my breasts have gone then?). I'm going to hang onto the dress in case I get a bra that works with it, but I'd advise other dress buyers to be cautious when buying this dress.

Ruby V-neck w/Elastic Shirring
from SF, CA,  Jul 27, 2009

This dress is form fitting and very flattering . The shirring indeed helps in the midsection and gives the slimming effect. I am petitie 5'2" and ordered a small. It fits snug around the midsection and the length comes right around the knee. The Vneck front and back are low appropriate for evening wear and will show plenty of bust if you are busty. Very complimentary dress if you are comfortable in your own skin. A good value and good traveling dress. I got it in teal and it is beautiful dressed with acessories.

not for the big chested
 from Wisconsin,  Jul 16, 2009

This dress was very pretty! I got it in purple and it was true to the color on the computer. It fit great and flattered my hour-glass figure. However, I wear 34D and the v-neck was TOO low!! I'm kind of bummed since I wanted to wear it to my brother-in-laws wedding, but I guess I'll have to find something that covers me up more! :) This dress would look great on anyone that wants to show a little, but if you have a bigger chest, probably not for you.

not so flattering
 from Florida,  Jun 9, 2009

I was thrilled to find this dress - seemed like a great price! it was comfortable, and I thought that the rouching would hide the slight belly I have... but in photos, it looked terrible! You could see my belly button "circle" through the dress. maybe it would be better on someone who is more in shape than I am (5'4", 140 lb), but I was pretty devastated to see the photos.

Great Value!
 from Massachusetts,  Feb 20, 2009

This dress is very flattering. My only concern is that it is a bit snug; however, the shirring helps to hide my "disproportionate" mid section. I wore the dress with a scarf/shawl and I felt very comfortable. This dress is low cut and I would recommend it for evening wear. I am so pleased with this purchase that I would highly recommend it!

Amazing Dress!
from Plano, TX,  Jan 26, 2009

This dress is absolutely amazing. The rouching at the waist is very forgiving, and I love the way that the skirt flies up when you spin around while dancing. I bought this to wear on a cruise and it was absolutely beautiful! I'm 5'7, about 140 pounds, and I bought the medium. It fits wonderfully! This is the perfect "little black dress"! I will buy it in teal also if it becomes available again! I hope that happens soon!!

Nice dress
from Washington, DC,  Nov 15, 2008

I bought this dress to wear to an evening wedding. It was perfect! I am 5'9", 150lbs, and the medium was right-on (I typically wear between a 6 and a 8). It fell to the knees, low plunge in the front and back, but I wore a deep plunge bra and had nothing showing. It is one of those dresses that you can wear again and again, throw it in your suitcase and go!

bust too large for small chests
 from California,  Jul 5, 2008

The shirring on the middle part makes this dress look much more expensive than it is, and the bust is too large (probably C cups) for my A cups, so I'll have to alter the straps so that it fits right. I'm 5' 8", 127 lbs, and the medium fits my size 6 body.

sizing was an issue
 Jun 15, 2008

Overall, it was a really great dress. Exactly the color advertised, and made well. I needed to adjust the bottom seam because I'm short and it was a mid-calf dress on me. The rest of it fit very well, though.

Pretty Dress
 from Nebraska,  Jun 14, 2008

I bought this dress for a wedding. It was shipped quickly and fit nice. The back is cut really low, so make sure to wear a bra that won't show! Overall, a great purchase!

what I was looking for
from boston, ma,  Jun 11, 2008

the fabric was a little thicker than what I had imagined, but the dress fits well and looks quite sophisticated. You might want to shorten the hem if you don't like long skirts.

Cheap Dress
from Malden, MA,  Oct 9, 2009

Not the best quality dress. It had a small hole in the seam of the waste when I received it. Didn't have time to return it so I wore it anyway. I wouldn't recommend it. Not worth the money.

Excellent Fit!
from Chicago suburbs,  Oct 8, 2009

This dress has "rooshing" that allows a few bulging areas to be concealed and gives a very flattering look and fit! I wish I had bought another color as it is so versatile - sweater, jacket over, scarf.

awkward top
 from WA,  Oct 1, 2009

The bust area isn't flattering & keeps falling down. The shirred waist isn't that flattering, instead it adds bulk. A tighter fit might have helped the shirring lay flat like in the picture.

Colors Off and a Bad Cut
from San Jose, CA,  Sep 25, 2009

I ordered the purple one shown in the photo, but when it arrived, it was the color of grape scented felt pens (or like Grimace, the McDonald's character) rather than the much more elegant merlot/burgandy purple shown in the photo. I have no idea what I'll do with this dress, but it looks like it belongs in a child's crayon box rather than on me. Additionally, the back is cut poorly so that it slips off your shoulders with the slightest provocation. Very disappointing.

You Get What You Pay For
from Tampa, FL,  Sep 20, 2009

I actually ordered this dress in black. It thankfully arrived too late for the dinner I planned to wear it to. Consequently, I bought a much classier, albet expensive, dress to wear. It is ok for a dinner out or a low level function, but not one at whcich you want to impress. It is an ok value for the price. You get what you pay for.
