I own several pea coats and this is one is the most unique. Looks amazing, fits wonderfully and is very warm. I've never seen another one quite like it.
This is a good looking coat and an extremely good value. The outside is rugged but handsome. The buttons are questionable, as is the inner lining. It fits a little small, though a large fit me well ( I am 6'0'' 175lbs). I would certainly recomend this product, though because of its shortcomings I cannot give 5 stars.
The Coat was a little tight in the shoulders ,but other than that it was fine.
The coat is beautiful. The buttons are not truly attached when it arrives but after a $7 investment the coat is ready to brave the elements. I bought this for my artist husband who found the style to be very unique. The lining on the coat is beautiful. And it seems there is a large variation between acutally colors. Ours was more on the brown side versus rust color.
This is a well constructed coat, with good quality wool fabric, full lining and sturdy stitching. The green-brown coloring is interesting and just the kind of unusual touch I was looking for--pea coats are typically navy, charcoal or black and it seems like everyone has one. I agree with other comments left previously that the unique brass buttons don't seem as well attached as they could be. I haven't lost one yet but I'm keeping an eye on them. The coat does come with spare buttons, just in case. Others have commented that the sizing seems to run small, and I seem to fall somewhere in limbo between Medium and Large (I'm tall but skinny--6 feet, 165 lbs.), so I was a little worried when I ordered. However, the Large fits me just fine, with enough "give" that I can wear a sweater and the coat doesn't feel tight.
I am happy with my purchase, wear it often. It is good looking and fits well.
The product was sent with missing buttons that are hard to find in stores because of design, and size was tighter than it should be (RUNS Small).
Without a doubt, the problem with this coat is the buttons. It's been two weeks and I've lost two of the functional buttons, one of the decorative buttons and one of the buttons on the inside. I merely picked the coat up the other day and the decorative button went flying across the room. I didn't touch it! And they're not that great looking anyway, so I'm getting new ones. The color is not as cool as it looks in the picture. Mine is dark green with rust colored highlights. It still looks good, feels pretty warm(haven't had many super cold days in NYC this year to really test it, but it's held up) and really looks great when it's buttoned.
This coat is very flexible in terms of where it can be worn. It is formal, but has a very cool appearance. The coat is put together well, and the lining is durable as well as attractive. Although the buttons are stylish and have the antique appearance, they do need some reinforcement. But that is a minor fix compared to the overall performance. GET NOTICED. I recommend this to anyone.
Buttons fell off in first 15 min of wearing it. Top collar button doesn't exist. Add $20-40 in tailoring costs to the purchase price.
I really liked this coat that i purchased for my boyfriend (who also loved it) but when he tried it on for the first time, one of the buttons fell off completely, which should not have happened. I was a little disappointed in that but overall the coat is great and my boyfriend loved it.
This jacket is worth it.. Only flaw I found is the buttons need to be reinforced, otherwise it's very cool in color, great warmth, and unique. Not as brown as pictured, dull rust.
Just one thing, you must re-enforce the buttons. Most have popped off. But the jacket is really nice.
for a large it is tight. I had to have the buttons moved out so it fit better
