More yellow than gold. I returned the tie once I saw the color of it.

My son was looking for a gold tie to match his girlfriend's dress for homecoming. All of the ties in the stores were too yellow, not really gold, and of course looking at the picture online is sometimes hard to judge the shade. But luckily this was a perfect match, his tie looked like it came with the gold sash on her dress. And a great price!
