I ordered the green suede boots because that was the only colour they had available in my size 6.5. Since I am a runner, I have muscular calves and I was excited about the prospect of a boot with a outside zippered calf option as well as a zippered interior ankle. However, when I received the boots, I was very disappointed to find that the calf zipper DOES NOT function and is purely decorative. It zips maybe 1/2 inch down and glued the rest of the way. There was a gusset for the zipper, so I'm not sure why they would make these zippers decorative only. Could never get the boot on to tell if they were comfortable enough. Unfortunately, I had to return the boots.

Love the boots. Fantastic quality at a bargain price. Good for someone w/ fairly slim calves. You need to wiggle your foot in since the top zipper is not functional but merely for aethetics. I'm short, but these do fit me because they slouch down once you have them on. I would find these difficult to wear with jeans unless they're super skinny jeans.

I have a lot of trouble finding boots that fit my calves, which are 16" around at their widest. These boots are a snug fit, but they FIT! I expected to try them on and send them right back, so I'm thrilled. It's true that the leg zipper is decorative only, not functional. The shaft comes ALL the way up to my knee, nice and tall, and I love that (I'm 5'6", if that helps you to know how they'll fit you). I got them in the green, and the color is really gorgeous, the suede is soft, and the shoe itself is... well, mostly comfortable. Like most new shoes, they gave me blisters on my heels the first time I wore them, but they'll break in fast.
