I ordered 9.5, which is my true size, but I must say my big toe feels a bit pinched from the top, although there is plenty of room length wise. Also I would describe this shoe as wide width. I would say 9.5, is really 9W (compared to other Oxfords I've worn...). They are well made, but definitely not a comfort shoe.. more like a classic regular shoe, there is barely any padding in the sole, but I do like the non slip bottom, and overall the leather is high quality and it is well made. Love the real patent leather, looks very expensive.
These are similar in design to the saddle oxfords I wore in junior high, but mine had a white rubber sole. These have a nice black sole and the heel is of hard plastic so it clicks as you walk across the floor. It's wide enough for my wide foot and fits snugly but comfortably; the back is a little stiff so I've got to have it "hammered" lightly with a rubber mallet to make it feel better/softer. The shoe is nice and now I can do some "rah-rah" stuff with some old friends...
