This dress is fun but doesn't look quite as classy as in the picture. In person the blue is much more vibrant and the quality of the dress looks a little cheap. While the body of the dress fit great the straps won't stay up and I had to invest more money in the dress to have it altered. In the end it's not quite worth the value in my opinion. This dress however, would be perfect for a teenager going to a dance, but for the navy banquet I purchased it for, it didn't make the list. I ended up buying another dress and will save this one for a girls night out of dancing. I am 22...(if this helps at all with my opinion of the dress)

I got this dress in the blue color and it is beautiful. It fit me very well. I got a size 10, though I sometimes wear an 8, and it was the right choice. I am a 36-C cup and 5'5" tall. My only negative is that the bow is satiny, so it occassionally comes untied.

I was looking for a nice cocktail dress for an event that was unique and would hide my stomach area (my big problem area!). This dress was perfect - simple yet elegant and the price was right! The vibrant turquoise underdress is softened by the chiffon black overdress. The empire waist is the perfect choice for hiding the midsection. It fit true to size and I will wear it again and again!

I bought this dress (black/nude) to wear to a semi-formal dinner. It looks great, fits great (it does run a little bit on the looser side), and a few quick DIY stitches keep the straps from falling down.

This dress was perfect, it fits to the body great the only thing was the straps where a little big. I wore this dress to a wedding and I got so many complements on this dress. I recommd this dress to anybody who wants to feel great. By the way I'm a size 14 and I wasn't feeling like a size 14. The dress is great.

The dress fits very well, definitely true to size. Almost a little short, though. I am tall, might look better on petite women. However, the material looks kind of cheap. I am still debating if I am going to keep it.

Great dress - very comfortable, lot's of compiments....my bra did show a little bit in the back so I used pins to hide it instead of buying a new low-back one.

I purchased this dress for my office Christmas party. I'm normally a size 8 with 34D bust size. I decided to order a 10 to be safe. The straps had to be taken up. Not a big deal. Probably the 8 would have been fine. It's a very comfortable fabric and looks much more expensive. I look forward to wearing this dress again! Perfect for a cocktail party or formal wedding!

I was skeptical to purchase this dress online since I often have bad luck with such, but I opted to give it a try after reading other reviews. I am an average size woman (size 6-8 on a good day, lol), but have the wide hips and thighs that seem to come along with having children, lol. I LOVE this dress because it fits snug in the bust and then flows right over the "problem" areas I have, but looks SO complimentary to my shape too (some dresses make you look like a balloon on the bottom!!). I actually purchased both colors of this dress, and both are beautiful. The turquoise is a bit more vibrant than the picture shows, but both are just so classy! Anyone could wear these dresses - the super slim to the curvy to the pear shape like myself. Nice fabrics, not itchy or uncomfortable, and just very wearable. I found it fit true to size, but I have a longer torso than some, so perhaps that is something to keep in mind.

I ordered the Onyx Nite Women's Matte Chiffon Evening Dress to wear to a New Year's Eve Party. It came perfectly shipped and ready to wear on its hanger... I didn't even need to steam it... It was exactly my size and needed no alterations. The lines were flattering to my fuller figure and I was able to go to the party feeling I looked my best and was comfortable as well. The length was great for my 5'7" height, not too short but not droll. It was comfortable to wear, fitted but not tight. Easy to move in. Some built in support but still able to wear a bra if necessary for your body type. My only thought for changing any thing was that when I moved around a lot, the open neck and back caused the straps to slip off my shoulders a bit. Not noticeable when sitting around but dancing, etc... it was sometimes annoying.. I might consider taking it up on the shoulders if I wear it for something other than a cocktail party, etc. If you order it, I bet you'll love it .The color is bright without being flashy...neckline is easy to accessorize.

This dress is BEAUTIFUL in person and VERY soft. it has a nice lightweight feel and the fluid fabric moves and swings gently around you. The only bad thing, is the fit was a bit off for me. Ususally the line that this dress is cut in, is flattering to most body types. However, for me- 5'9" slender with proportional curves, it didn't work out at all. It made my chestlook small and my hips look HUGE. I thought the tie waist would make everything look proportionate, but it didn't. This would be great for a top-heavy body type, but bottom heavy body types beware. Hope this helps!

I ordered the dress for a retirement party and it was a hit. I got so many compliments on how nice I looked. I have recently gained a lot of weight and so it was nice that this dress was comfortable and able to hide the belly fat that I am so desperatly trying to rid myself of. If you are looking for a dress that is going to work for a semi formal or even formal event this is the one for you.

The dress arrived in a timely manner and was just as it appeared - lovely. It fit as described in the other customer reviews, looked and felt well made and will be treasured during the upcoming holiday season. I can wear it with flats - looked great - or with heels - will knock them dead. A great party dress - both very pretty and comfortable.

It is not too tight or too large, the coverage is very elegant. Even the lining of the zipper works accuratly. It is a piece that I will be able to wear time and time again.

The dress is cute and perfect for curvy girls. I am 5'6", 150 pounds and I got the 10 and it fits perfect. I am usually a 12. I go back and forth. So I this dress runs large. Good for girls with big breasts and large hips.

Bought this dress in the turquoise/black, and it arrived looking just like the photo. Is very nice, but the satiny belt, which is sewn onto the dress, does not stay in a bow for very long while you wear it. Dress was a little large, but I'm handy with a sewing machine and was able to tailor it to fit me perfectly. All in all, it is a cute little cocktail dress that is a good value for the money.

this dress has a lined and padded bodice and my 15 year old daughter LOVED it ...she wore it as my maid of honor at my second wedding... she wore it again to a semi formal dance.. this is an amazing value... depending on how tall you are it could be shorter than you might want, but the wearer is 509 and it hit 1.5 inches above the knee which was ok with us.
