This is a great oversized bag...perfect as a carryon or purse. It's slightly unstructured, but firm enough to retain it's basic shape. I use it as a combination purse and carryon for travel since it fits nicely under the airline seats. The red color is beautiful and there are several nice pockets, including a zipper pocket on the outside of the bag. I would totally recommend this to a friend!

I travel a lot for work and I need a bag that looks professional but is also versatile -- and big enough to fit my widescreen laptop. This one is working out really well so far, although I'm uncertain how it's going to hold up for the long haul (but I didn't pay a "long haul" price for this by any means) ... The inside is very roomy, with only two small pockets on the sides plus another zippered one on the outside.This is a good thing, because I lose things in totes with lots of compartments and pockets. The handles are exactly long enough to swing it past my elbow and move it to my shoulder without using the other hand -- but if you have long arms, this movement would be awkward for you. Even full, it fits nicely under an airplane seat with room to spare and it fits perfectly in the bins at airport security. I'm still getting used to the zippered top closure after a couple of years of using a clasp closure, but no doubt a zipper is more secure. And the bag is very slightly more slouchy (less structured) than I expected. I would give it an "excellent" rating, except it's very light (good in some ways), and I'm not sure how sturdy it's going to prove in the long run, especially with a heavy laptop inside half the time (when it's clearly not meant for this). But so far, I'm quite happy with this spiffy tote!
