The Propet Camp Walker Hi was a wonderful surprise. I have worn boots(mostly traditional leather 8 inch lace up) for work and everyday footwear for almost 40 years and was not expecting much from a pair of flimsy tennyboots(my term for tennis shoe looking boots) that my wife purchased for me. Wow, was I ever wrong! As a large guy (250+) with 4-6 E width foot I am used to quickly running over or breaking down a pair of boots. The Camp Walkers fit me perfectly, both in length and width (13 5E), were comfortable from the first moment I laced them up. They weigh a third of my normal boots yet give me all the support and stability I need. They do well in wet environments as advertised. I would recommend these boots.
First of all, this is the second pair of Propet Camp Walkers I own. I loved the first pair and wanted the Khaki color for a trip to a desert. The shoe fits great and like the first pair, I love the feel. As a diabetic, these shoes have been a blessing to my feet while trekking through forest and field. I purchased this pair on April 14, 2014. Today is May 10th. In just a couple of weeks the coating near the heel (khaki color) is starting to peel away revealing the black rubber below. I really didn't expect the materials to start to decompose in a couple of weeks. Maybe I didn't notice this defect in my black pair but this is very noticeable. I love the shoes, the fit and feel but such shoddy materials are inexcusable. I took photos of the damaged area but this review site doesn't give me the opportunity to post them.
