My husband habitually wears baseball type caps. He needs to wear a warmer cap for winter. This is now his go-to winter hat. With the earflaps available on the cap, it meets multiple winter time head coverage needs.
The hat is beautiful, however it is a women's hat (not listed) and it should be noted as such. I brought this for a man and it is a little to girl for him. The rose underlay woodwork is really pretty and I would have kept it for myself if it had fit. Another reason why I had to return it is because the size was to small. I was basing it off of a Baileys hat that we have had for years. We have a size 7 baileys cowboy hat that fits him perfectly, however this size 7 was a little to snug. Otherwise, it is a beautiful hat that I may think about purchasing for myself in the future.

Positives nice hat, I'll wear the heck out of it. Very warm and seems well made. Negatives, this might be merino, but it's not ultra fine or fine merino. It's slightly scratchy so someone that's really sensitive will not like it.
In the Pacific Northwest I need a hat that will serve in all weathers, especially heavy rain! After seven years I had worn out my last hat which was an identical style. This new one works great - it keeps the rain off and (rarely!) the sun out of my eyes. I'm good to go for another seven years. I'm really pleased with it.
