I bought this same jacket several years ago and found it an exceptional value. Thick, supple, and durable. Recently, I just received my second jacket thinking it would be of the same quality. It isn't, yet at just under $100, it still is a good value. It is now about 20-25% thinner (I used a set of calipers) and the surface finish is not as rich as my older jacket. The shininess and lack of rich surface grain leads me to suspect, some of the quality standards may have been lowered. As for the leeching of the color others experienced, the older version did not do this, however, after reading comments, I used LexolŽ over the whole jacket and some rags to remove as much of the dye as possible as well as treating the leather in hopes of improving its surface richness and dull the shininess. All in all, its still a good value, yet less than what it once one.

very much impressed with the leather finish, style and especially the weight of the jacket. fit is excellent. would recommend it for bikers as well as for a very stylish look. cuffs and collar keep the cold air from creeping in.

This jacket was a present for my son-in-law. In appearance and fit it is good. The problem it has is that if any moisture gets on the jacket, it leaches the black stain onto anything that comes in contact with it. Example: They had gone out to dinner. After dinner it started to sprinkle lightly. When they got in the car the next day they noticed black marks on the seat. They tested the jacket and sure enough if you apply a damp cloth to it, it leaches the color. So this is not a good buy in my oppinion.
