Good value for this knee length trench coat with zip out liner. It has classic syling but is more lightweight than traditional trenches due to more modern fabric. I have not yet worn it in bad weather, but looks like it will be waterproof, and wearable in fall, spring and some of the winter here in the N.E.
The fabric wrinkles too easily. and holds the wrinkles.
The coat was everything we hoped for.The right color and the right fit. Shipped so fast we were really suprised it arrived that soon.
Positives: The fabric is very thick, durable and high quality, the lining is very warm and adds a heaviness and structure to the jacket I did not expect, I wear it in Illinois in December and I am fine. I think the fit is nice, I can wear a light sweater under this coat and it still keeps a nice, elegant silouette. I have another London Fog coat in black which has much thinner fabric and is unlined, and this one feels so much more substantial and luxurious. Negatives- The buttons! Get ready to dismantle and re-sew all the buttons yourself! This also happened with my other coat. The thread securing the buttons is just tied with one big knot which comes loose very easily. The first to go are the ones on the botttom or that rub near the belt. I also added an extra hook and eye closure to allow the jacket to be closed all the way up to the neck like my other coat. It can be done on this coat and looks normal. It bothers me to have an open neck on a rain jacket in blustery winds, a scarf does not cut it.
The coat is very rich looking. It was a great deal.
This coat is beautiful and very warm. The fit is perfect too. Such a classic coat and well made. I enjoy wearing it!
I've had this coat for a few weeks now and have used it a lot already. It's a classic look and completely functional. The inside lining keeps you warm, but it acn be unzipped out to use the jacket in warmer, but just as rainy, weather. I live in the south where our winters are mild so this jacket is perfect year round. I have no complaints. It's durable and you get what you see. I'm 5'10" so it's a little shorter than I would have wanted (about 2" above the knee). Over all, pretty good buy for the buck.
