This coat maybe suitable for some of the southern states but it will not offer "protection from the elements" in the upper midwest.

The description states it provides protection from harsh elements. I find that hard to believe, since the jacket is as a windbreaker rather than a jacket , thin with a lining. I could be wrong ,however, seriously doubt it would keep a child warm in anything less than 55-60 degree weather . I will likely return this item , the 1st time I have ever returned anything to O.stock O.stock has always been accurate for what I order .This was disappointing since it was to be a gift :(

Great value for the price. My daughter (9) loves the vibrant color and cozy fleece, but wishes the fleece was on the arms too, since it's a bit snug and she can't wear an extra layer. Good jacket for the cold in-between months waiting for the school bus and she can't yet wear a winter jacket.

• How accurate was the sizing? Not very roomy for a size 14-16. My daughter usually wears a 12, but she can't wear the jacket with a sweatshirt.
