Larry Levine Machine-washable Water-resistant Hooded Down Parka Jacket

Nice jacket with a peplum effect at the hips that doesn't show in the picture. The jacket runs small. It was also chosen from a Real Simple suggestion as a coat for people with big hips. I don't know if that was because it flares at the hips or not, but it just accentuated mine. I would think this would be a great coat for a straight up and down thin figure.

I like this snuggly, warm winter jacket because of the fabric, unique design, and special features: - The fabric is light-weight with a soft-cushioned down padding that is thick but not too puffy; - The unique design is not only very attractive, comfortable and cozy, but it is also warm; and - The special features are the unique warm velvet lined cuffs around the wrists as well as around the collar; there is a zipper panel that lays against the front of the body to keep the cold out and seal in the heat, then front of the jacket overlaps the panel to snap close the jacket over the zipper; the front part of the hood lays flat on the shoulders showing only the velvet-lined collar - the hood can only be seen from the back of the jacket; and finally the attractive feminine quality is the ribbed waist band on each side that is hidden above the velvet lined warm pockets. .

I have a hard time finding a coat that accentuates my waist line since I am big chested and this coat was no different from the rest. Sigh..... (I measure Xl on blouses but Med on pants, 5'7, 150 lbs). But if you are on the smaller chested side and/or petitie, you may not mind the added roundness/bulkiness of this coat. Felt pretty warm and light (for the few minutes I tried it on). Leaves good extra wiggle room to layer up with sweaters. I liked that the hoodie was not too big and the front zipper made it's way up my neck, right below my chin.
