Cut is tight in the arm/armpit area.
I ordered an XL which is my usual size for outerwear--it is snug all over but especially in sleeve/armpit area-almost as if the pattern is 'off''-- I wear this coat with just a light blouse on--no sweater or blazer--so, in general I'm disappointed. It's warm and a nice length for we tall people.

gave this as a gift to my mom. she loved it. very warm jacket that is perfect for winter. it doesn't look rugged but very classy jacket. XS doesn't swallow my mom up. it is perfect for her 5"4' medium built.
