Not bad to keep the wind off, but you lose a lot of heat through the Lycra in the armpits, and any surf session longer than an hour or so will result in a decent abrasion on the back of the neck due to a flat-stitched seam located there. Probably better suited for snorkeling or even jet-skiing, rather than something more movement-oriented like surfing. Fits true to size chart on Jetpilot website.
The wetsuit top is a good investment for those chilly, windy days. Blocks UV rays, wind, and keeps you nice and warm. The only problem I had with this purchase is the sizing. I followed the Overstock's general sizing charts and it still was a bit too tight (due to Jetpilot's difference in sizing). My suggestion to any buyers is to buy one size larger than what you would normally wear; trust me on this.
