Water doesn't penetrate at all; just beads up and rolls off. I bought this jacket for casual wear. I'm 6'1", 160 lbs, and the Small fit me just right for casual wear. If I had planned to use it for snowboarding, I would have definitely stuck with a Medium so I could put some layers underneath. The front pockets are a little weird (you insert your hands almost straight down into them) but it doesn't bother me much. Overall, it fits very well and looks great.
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Black is black.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. A few weeks old and seems to be good quality.
- How accurate was the sizing? Sizing was accurate if you want to use the jacket for snowboarding. For casual use, I would go a size smaller.

I ordered this jacket for my son for Christmas and he loved it. But it was to small. Overstock does not have a way to exchange it, so I had to return and reorder. Thus having to pay multiple shipping fees and the jacket had also gone up in price. Whis there would have been a way to more easlly exchange.

A nice, warm, well fitting and comfortable coat for the price! With the exception of the cheaper looking imitation fur collar, it has a well made quality. My husband is quite pleased with it. For about a hundred dollars, you can't go wrong for a down jacket. The outer shell material seems as though it would withstand moisture and wind well. The hood closes up snugly about the face to block the elements, also. The inner, ribbed cuff is another wind and cold blocking feature we like., Overall, we're pleased with the purchase with the exception of the fur which I'm going to try and brush out to give it a more realistic appearance.
- How accurate was the sizing? fit was perfect.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Overall quality was very good. The imitation fur collar seems a bit cheap and rough looking, otherwise the coat seems well made.
- Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? Yes, no noted defects.
