I do enjoy wearing what I now call my "Happy shoes" For some reason I feel good wearing these red shoes. They are great to walk in, but wear thick socks for cushion. I am always being asked where did I get them and of course I them on Overstock!!
The price is right for these shoes, but if I had to do it over again, I'd splurge the extra $$ and buy the Cole Haan LunarGrands. Although I've gotten several compliments while wearing these, they fell apart after only 3 months of moderate use (the sole cracked right down the middle!) In addition, there is very little cushioning on these - can get uncomfortable if wearing all day. Lesson learned: style is not greater than durability & comfort!
I was looking for a non-leather boot that I could dress up or down with. So far, I've been wearing the black Henry-26 lace-up oxfords for two weeks and have received several compliments on them already from both men and women. I've worn them with chinos, corduroy, and jeans; the style of the boot works with all. They look great out of the box despite being different than I expected. They have a suede feel (a nice unexpected treat) to them and have a rich ink black color. They sole feels stiff and I was concerned that they would not be comfortable, but I have not had any issues with them. They do run a bit long, so I'd suggest going a size down or adding an insole for extra cushion. I have a wide foot and opted for a 3/4 insole rather than go through the exchange process. That left me with plenty of toe wiggle room. These laces easily come undone, so I've had to double not them when wearing the boot. A nice all-around lace-up boot for under $.
