I just received these shoes, so I've only worn them around the house for an hour or so, but I like how sturdy they feel. They're a little on the warm side... it seems like they don't breathe very well. If air circulation to your feet is important, these aren't the shoes for you. Other than that, they are comfortable. I did order a half a size larger than normal based on other reviews, and I'm glad I did.
I bought these shoes to wear casually with jeans or khaki pants. They have a nice look and I liked the gray. I was a bit startled by the gray when I received the shoes. They seems darker to me than the picture indicated. I also worried I would have to return them because they were a little tight. I liked the look so much (I was excited by new shoes) that I wore them to work that first day. By the end of the day my feet did feel a little squished and my achille's tendon felt a little rubbed too. Happily, the next time I wore the shoes they felt looser. Each time they seem to get a little bit better too. I still felt a little ache on the back of my ankle where the upper lip must rub a little. (It hasn't caused a blister or anything close) I am happy I didn't return the shoes. Maybe I was just having a big foot week when they had arrived or they needed to be broken in a bit. Although the velcro closures seem to have no effect on the fit, I like the unique styling.
I won't say these are the cutest shoes I own, but they are VERY comfortable. I am on my feet a lot at work walking and standing and the insoles on these are great. They have really good arch support and at the end of the day, my feet aren't tired. The first couple of days I wore them they seemed really tight, but they get more loose as you wear them and the insole fits to your foot. The looks just remind me of the toddler tennis shoes with the toe bumper guards. But my coworkers say they don't look bad at all (and believe me they would tell me). OVerall, these are great shoes for walking and standing and I would definitely buy another pair.
