This is a beautiful, and very warm coat: the warmest I've got. The photograph doesn't do the appearance justice. In real life it looks and feels like a much more expensive coat. The leather is soft and supple and the coat is very comfortable to wear. However, mine had some serious flaws. First, as the previous reviewer noted, this is not down filled, but instead is poly filled. However, I haven't found that this has affected the warmth. Of greater importance, on the first wearing, the drawstrings on both sides of the bottom hem pulled out, before I even got out the door. The metal zipper was very stiff, requiring waxing to work properly, and it then caught on the inside collar edges, tearing them. Because I otherwise love the coat, I repaired the tears with some black nail polish and have decided to keep the coat rather than return it. But new buyers should be careful about this product.
