The denim is light weight. The fit is very comfortable. Just right on the length. Wash up nicely.

I returned this item and would not have worn it in public. I found that the rise on these shorts was itself VERY short. This item really should not be marked as women's, but as juniors. I normally wear a size 6-8, and ordered a medium in these shorts. The flare on the leg let them fit fine around the leg and hips, but the short length of the rise was inescapably obvious. Ordering a size up would not have helped. I would say otherwise that I very much like the styling and the material was very comfortable, though it would not have been durable. This product might fit someone with a shorter midsection.
