The dress in Champagne color is not a true Champagne color but rather a deep Gold color. I would have returned the dress because of the color but it was a final sale. The dress arrived folded in a very small bag in a very small box. Consequently the wrinkles in the dress were deep and required pressing by a dry cleaner (and additional cost) to remove the wrinkles so the dress can be worn. The mid section of the dress seems to be lacking a belt or sash, which is customary for similar dresses by the same designer. I would not recommend this dress as a gift given the packaging and final sale. The dress also runs small in size so if you do order the dress I would suggest that you order one size larger than you normally wear.
