Dry Clean - Dress Shirts

The color online does this shirt no justice. I was happy I took the chance and selected this color. The fabric is a clean, rich think, stretch slim cut, for a custom looking fit. The buttons, cuffs, collar are strong and heavy to hold up nicely when washed. We use a 3 min hand wash and little heat on the dryer or hang to dry.

I purchased this shirt for my husband, who LOVES cufflinks, but also insists on "fitted" dress shirts. He's 5'11 with broad shoulders but a narrow chest & waist (I purchased 15.5, 32/33). Normal dress shirts billow on him, but the yoke of slim fitted shirts are too high on his shoulders. This shirt fits him beautifully, and the fabric is much softer, almost sateen-like, than I expected. The reason for the 4-star review is that it is somewhat thin (an undershirt may be appropriate), and he has not had the shirt long enough to say whether it will hold up well to repeated laundering (we have his dress shirts professionally laundered, but not dry-cleaned).

Start by saying I am one picky guy on dress shirts. Here is what I love about this shirt: 1) Collar looks great with tie - collar stitching is on the edge vs. back-set and the top edges of collar above knot touch/meet perfectly - crisp look 2) Despite a size 18 neck, the body of shirt has slimmer cut (I wear 46 jacket and 36 waist pant) fits great without looking 'too' fitted. Was worried that, like most larger neck sized shirts, it would look like a trash bag. 3) While the material is not that super tight broadcloth that starches super crisp, it's close enough. Has a tad bit of a satin look feel but don't let that sway you, it's more to do w quality of fabric. (I have not yet had cleaned starch yet so i may hold a nice press like a true broadcloth) 4) I have washed both of these shirts, twice, on gentle with woolite and they look great. I realize it say dry-clean only, but the money saved will pay for replacements should my washing experiment go sideways. *Note - I also bought an Enzo blue pattern dress shirt and it too rocks. I think its the great looking collars that make it. I feel the collar is where most shirt manufactures fall short.

The shirt was absolutely perfect. I've had the same neck size since I was 20 years old, but the shirts have been way too big. I wrestled 174 in college and had a size 18 neck. That means I was about 190 normally. My shirts have usually been too big, but this has a nice fit to the body. Not tight so that any extra pounds are noticeable, but just a perfect fit. I would never advise washing them in the dryer, regardless what they say on the shirt(I haven't even checked) but you can get your shirts dry cleaned for $1.50. Washing them in a home washer and dryer shortens the life so much that you're losing out on a lot of the value you save. I love the shirt, and am glad I purchased it.
You're all ready for the big night on the town: Your pants are pressed, your shoes are shined and your shirt is clean and ironed. But when you put the shirt on, the middle button pops off! Although you could simply put on another men's dress shirt from your wardrobe, it's just as easy to sew that button back on. You don't need any special sewing skills to sew a button on a men's dress shirt , just a bit of thread and a sewing needle (and, of course, the missing button). Sewing a Button on a Dress Shirt: Thread the needle. Cut a length of thread that is 18 inches to 24 inches long. Read More
