I've been stretching my shoes for years. I wear a Size 5 or 5.5 and need a wide. Well, shoes do not come in a Wide width in that small of size. So, I've always stretched them out and purchased many stretchers. All are wooden btw. Normally I have paid this much for one shoe stretcher, let alone two. So, this is a super deal. And, if you buy a shoe stretcher at a foot store, you'd really pay more. And, none came with their own bag so you can store them, and not lose all those little plug ins. I use "Shoe Stretcher" spray first and then insert the stretcher overnight. This works great for women's shoes of all styles, especially helping to make it easier if you have bunions or wide feet. The last shoe stretcher I had lasted 6 years before I striped out the threads. And, I stretched out a lot of shoes with it.

Well worth the price. People with wide feet should always own a pair of these.

I have short, wide feet with a high instep, so finding shoes that fit comfortably is a big issue for me. And the ones that do fit are often too expensive. I was so happy to find these 2-way stretchers! I tried them first on a pair of sandals that have always given me blisters. After using the stretchers for just one night, the sandals fit comfortably enough for me to wear them all day :) No blisters! The plastic buttons they give you for stretching problem areas are terribly cheap and flimsy, and some of them don't fit in the holes properly. That's why I only gave 4 stars. Also, word to the wise: the dark colored wood may leave marks on the sole of the shoes, so if you were stretching dress shoes with light-colored insoles you might want to cover the stretcher with a thin sock for protection.

I have wide feet and this item worked wonders. This adjusted just right.

These very nice shoe stretchers will save me lots of money from having the shoemaker stretch my shoes (I have slightly wide feet, not wide enough to wear width "W"). Great again, club "O"!

"what was the length of this shoe compared to what you expected" "what was the width of this shoe compared to what you expected" Seriously, someone needs to double check their web forms. THIS ISN'T A SHOE, OVERSTOCK. This is my first pair of shoe stretchers, so I cant compare them to others. They work. You shove it into the toe of the show, and turn the plastic screw until the hell part is in the heel of the shoe, and you turn the metal L until it's as wide as you want, and then you leave it alone for a day or so. It's got little plastic nubs that go into holes in the wood part, I use one to make a little extra room for my little toe. I did find that it left some sawdust like debris in the inside of my shoes, but that's an easy fix.

I highly recomend trying the "Comfy Puppy" shoe stretchers if you have foot troubles. Easy to use, while being compact enough to hang in the closet. The inserts help with the little pressure points, and the two way sretching helps with width & length. I have large wide feet, and it's really dificult finding shoes that that fit properly. The pair of two way stretchers is what i've needed, or should i say it's what my feet have needed.

Price was good for these stretchers compared to others. I wanted these stretchers to work mostly for the length stretching. I wear size 11.5 in ladies shoes. However, most shoes only go up to size 11. Consequently, if the shoe is a little short, I need to lengthen the toe area. The backs of these stretchers are wide in the heel section and if I were to put too much pressure in the stretching, it would stretch out the heels of the shoes. These work best for widening the toe area.

I'm a shoe person, I LOVE SHOES!! but my feet are wide and it's difficult for me to find cute shoes that wont bother me. For Summer I love the strappy sandals but most of them would hurt my feet, well they used to. Until I came across this thru HSN and it started using it. WOW the difference it's amazing. Now I can buy any shoe that I like and I can afford knowing that I could streach them out in the "unique" way my feet are. This is my second pair, the first one broke ( I guess I used it too much). For the benefits I received I dont mind buying another one if I need to.
