I bought this coat for a recent trip to New York, and it kept me very warm while I was there. It's dressy enough to wear to a nice dinner, but also works great for a casual day out. The coat has four buttons in the front, and while they have all stayed on so far with my numerous buttoning and unbuttoning, they don't feel 100% secure. But the coat does look great unbuttoned as well. Also, I normally wear a size 6, but I bought a 4 based on a previous review and it fit perfectly... definitely order a size smaller than you normally wear. (A word of caution... the coat does flare out at the hips, so if you are a "hippy" person already, this will make your hips look even bigger.) Overall, this is a great, warm, fun coat and I highly recommend it!

This is a great coat, especially for the price. Like one reviewer said, it does flare out a bit more than it appears in the photo, and it is less tapered at the waist. Size-wise, I'm generally a 6, that's what I ordered, and the coat is very roomy on me, so I wouldn't suggest ordering one size up.

I am never sure about ordering online anything. I have regretted many a purchase in the cyber world. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprized by this sylish coat! The only way it could be better is if it were mink! It is heavy enough to keep me warm but not bulky. I love the princess cut swing this coat has. Perfect to wear over a full skirt for going to holiday parties or simply over a sweater and jeans...either way it looks and feels great!!!! I am looking forward to seeing how it holds up over the season!

I absolutely love this coat! The cashmere-blend is plush and a great winter weight. The DKNY attention to detail in the lining, sleeves and hems is pure quality. This is a classic coat with a sharp personality. It is a definite head turner! This is a great value and the style and quality will make a great long term investment. I have one suggestion when buying this coat. I suggest yo buy at one size smaller than ususal. I bought a size 12 and the fit at the waist was fuller than I like, even with a suit on.

At 5'3" ~125 lbs, fits beautifully. Sleeves are a little tight, but not uncomfortable--just can't wear a really thick sweater underneath. Coat has a certain slimming effect--nice. DKNY is for taller people in general, but somehow it works on me, a petite.

Got my coat yesterday and I couldn't be more pleased! This is a well fitted and stunning coat to add flair to anyone's wardrobe! Now, I need to figure out how to keep my daughters hands off of it!

I purchased this coat for my Mom; bought the 8 instead of the 6 b/c its a winter coat. It looks BEAUTIFUL on her. She's a little on the short side, and it really looks classy. However, my sister put it on, and she's on the tall side, and it looks great on her too! I would have paid a lot more for such a great product, the deal I got made it even better!

The coat isn't the greatest. It is very pretty and flowly, however the selves on the coat is way to tight. You can't wear any sweaters under the coat, because of the tight selves. It won't be wise to get a larger coat, because the coat is already really flowly.

I bought this coat purely based on the picture, and sort of ignored some of the comments made on the review section. Just like the all other comments, it's a nice coat, but the arms are too tight. Nevertheless, it's a nice coat.

I am completely in love with the design of this coat. Unfortunately, it does NOT fit my shoulders. I'm usually a 10 and ordered an 8. The waist was very loose, so I knew that if I ordered a 10, the shoulders would fit, but the waist would not even come close to my body. It would have to be taken in. I was so disappointed!

I was very pleasantly surprised when the coat arrived. I'm 5'8'' and NOTHING is ever long enough. This coat was not quite knee-length but close enough. I like how it flares out, however the waist was too loose. I wear and 8 and should have ordered a 6. Overall, it looks great, however.

The coat is beautiful, very well made, but I have to return it because the arms and shoulders are too tight and the middle is too loose (size 8). I fit in a size 6, but I like my coats a size 8 so that I can wear something bulky underneath. It's a shame it didn't fit right.

I was looking for something that had a vintage feel and this coat fits the bill. The skirt on this is flared and just gorgeous. The biggest surprise about this coat - the sleeves are perfect for my 5'9" frame - that NEVER happens. Highly recommended if you are tall!I bought this in a 10 and it looks like it was made for me. All in all, a unique, quality piece for a price only Overstock could offer!

This is the perfect black "dress" coat. I'm short statured, so this coat is full-length on me, but the fit is perfect, even over sweaters and suit jackets. The fabric is top-notch; it looks expensive and is extremely soft to the touch. I saw this exact coat on another website for an additional $50.00, so Overstock's price is a bargain of the first magnitude. Hurry and snap it up if it's available in your size!

This coat was a really great value for money. The coat is slimming on top, it does fit true to size, but the arms are quite tight...I didn't have a problem, though. The coat is very warm, so if you're looking for a coat for true winter weather, this is perfect. The lining inside is very soft and silky. The bottom flare does make you look a little bigger around the hips and bottom, but it is still flattering! This coat will never go out of style, and the quality is excellent! 5 Stars for me!

I read the reviews and ordered a size up (I figured I may need the extra space). One size up and it fits snug. That's okay because it is really warm and looks really chic and feminine. High quality. It's so warm I cannot wear it in my car because I start to feel too hot. Perfect knee length but would not recommend for tall (above 5'8") women if you are looking for that perfect knee length coat. It is really comfortable and wears well. Definitely worth the money. Coats I looked at like this in store were $300+.

For some reason, this jacket in a size 8 is super tight around the arms and the flare makes me look bottom-heavy when I'm not. I had a friend try it on, too, and it looked the same on her. So, I plan on returning it and trying for another black jacket.
