DKNY Women's Ruffle Front Wool-blend Coat

This is a great dress-up/dress-down coat - it has a smart, feminine and classic cut. The thickness will keep me sufficiently warm through the winter (I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada). The collar is high enough so I won't have to wear the coat with a scarf to keep my neck warm. Despite the pretty ruffles, it is pretty plain (especially if I am not using a scarf). Therefore, I will probably embellish the coat with something like this 'key find charm' (http:***) - the magnet on the charm should be strong enough to work despite the thickness of the coat.

• How did the color on site compare with the actual product? The coat fabric looked like it had a velveteen sheen to it in the pictures. In reality it is a typical black wool winter coat
• Please tell us about the quality of the product. Good quality - will keep me warm in the winter
• How accurate was the sizing? I am 5'5 and a size 6-8. I ordered an 8 and it is perfect for layers (I tried it on with a suit underneath and it was roomy)

This is a nice coat in terms of style - it's got big snappers instead of buttons, which would be easier to close with glove-covered hands. However I found that it runs a full size smaller than the marked size. I expect that a winter coat will have a little bit of extra room in the shoulders and chest to allow for a sweater, but this coat fits like a dress - very close. So if you're looking at this as an option, order a size larger than you think you'll take. This is pretty disappointing because i was hoping for a cool new coat for an east coast business trip - alas, it does not come larger than size 14. PS - I have a size 12 winter coat by Pendleton that is roomy enough that it fits me even with a suit jacket or heavy sweater, and there is room to spare. So it may even be two sizes too small, with that as a guide.

Love this coat! I think the flattering design, weight and color are great. I know people have written that the coat is a little on the lighter side for a winter coat, which I agree, but I find it to be a positive. It's a VERY comfortable coat- easy to move around in and I've found it to be equally as warm as some of my heavier winter pea coats due to the high neck line, snap front and adequate sleeve length. I'm 5'9", approximately 140 lbs and the size 8 fits perfectly.

It is so cool! Warm, very good maded. I got size 6 for my 38EU size and it fits perfectly!
