This item is totally satisfactory for the selling-price. There is something odd about the length of the coat that gives it a strong potential to look a little "Urkelish" on anyone more than average height (5'5"). It is not knee-length, or a true midi. For this reason, the pocket placement also seems a little high; yet, on the other hand the pockets have double access (side & top). The color is ok, but not rich-looking. The top-stitching is professional; the DKNY engraved snaps; and the down-filled pouch on the zipper pull tab are nice finishing touches. The bottom, side zippers are a plus. The down content coupled with the inside zipper should provide adequate protection against the cold.

I was so excited to find a 50" down coat, as I am 5'8" and wear skirts often. I wanted a coat that would be as long as my skirts. Not so with this-from the base of the neck to the hem is 45.5". This was a let down for me. I am a 12 to sometimes 10. The large fits in the shoulders-a medium would have been too snug for me. It is a bit on the skimpy side as far as the filling goes, but on the plus side of that, you don't have to worry about a garment that looks too puffy. The sleeves are very long, and cannot be cuffed up very much because the lining would be exposed. (Not a problem for walking outside, but may be a problem once in a store.) The zipper starts 7" from the hem, which is very good for keeping legs warm. There is a beautiful velvetish fabric lining the hood, and the coat lining has a nice looking satin finish. The neck is snug enough to keep out the cold air, but not so tight as to be uncomfortable. The pockets are great-the side slats are good for keeping your hands warm, and the second box pockets are good to keep gloves and keys in. If the legnth is not a problem, this is a great quality coat for the price.

I got this coat to wear when I have playground duty. I love it. The hood is sooooo warm and the zipper at the neck isn't scratchy. Everyone at school is jealous. I would definitely recommend this toany one who needs head to calf warmth. Very light weight. I usually wear a 14 but ordered the XL. plenty big enought for sweaters underneath. If you want a dressier fit, order true to size. Almost look forward to playground duty

The DKNY Down Coats are fantastic! I purchase (2) coats for my 85 year old mom and myself! The coats are unbelievably warm! The coats arrived on good coat hangers ready to be hung! There are zippers on both sides of the long coat to give you more room should you need it. The coat looks great with boots! The zippers are of good quality and have backup snaps! When driving the coat gives and is comfortable! They fit great! The hood covers the head area perfect and the faux fur around the hood does not look cheap! My mom and I look sharp in the coats!!!!

I just got this coat (black one) delivered yesterday. I cannot comment on the warmth since it's spring and I live in Texas; I bought it because I'm moving to Chicago. I read all the reviews and I think a word about the fit and fashion of the coat is useful. I am 5'3'' and 109 lbs, so thin person here. I ordered an XS. The lenght is fine, to my midcalf (much longer than in the picture). Shoulders and sleeves fit very well. Like other users say, sleeves are long but that may actually be useful. They are not too wide, just enough space to wear sweaters under the coat. Now, the body of the coat is quite wide if you are slender. I could probably wear 5 sweaters and still not have it fit. So, as a result, it does look like a sleeping bag 100% (again, on a small body). Not ugly, but not fashionable at all. That said, it is very good quality The hood is extremely good. It fits well and covers so much of your face that it will be hard to get cold. It is very well made and the fabrics are good quality. The buttons are indeed annoying being so shiny, but that is a minor thing. It looks like it will last many years. Bottom line: I may keep it because my pocket cannot afford what my vanity dictates, and because I would rather die of un-fashionness than of cold.

I bought this coat to be able to walk my dogs longer without feeling cold. It works well. Getting great exercise and I can stay out longer with the ASPCA dogs and make sure they get a walk in when the weather is bad. The color brown is pretty and I really like the hood. I am glad I bought this coat. Please consider adopting a dog from your local shelter. Thanks

I'm very happy with my jacket. I received mine a couple of days ago and it fits perfectly. I'm 5'9 1/2, skinny built so I bought the extra large and it fit my long arms. I can put on a lot of clothes and still have room for comfort. Thank You Overstock.

I love this jacket!! It fits great...I'm 5'5" and 135 lbs and it's very comfortable and warm. I had plenty of pocket space. This jacket looks classy and was such a bargain for the price. I needed a warm jacket for the cold Boston weather and it definately kept me toasty! This was my first purchase on Overstock and I have since ordered more items. The jacket shipped very quickly.

I am 6'1" and scrawny. The size small fits perfectly! The sleeves cover my wrists and the coat extends well below my knees. So far the weather has been mild here in Chicago, but I expect the coat to keep me warm this winter.

I am 5'10" tall and was concerned about how the arm length of the coat would fit me. As it turned out, I am very pleased with the fit. The overall length of the coat is perfect for me and the side zippers (kind of like a kick pleat) were a great idea.

This coat is warm and beautiful! Sizing is perfect, the sleeves are long enough as I am very tall and the coat can be worn with jeans or dressy clothes. I love it.

I'd been looking for a full length quilted coat for years just to walk the dogs and stand at the school in so wasn't hoping for anything special, however, this coat looks great as well as being very warm and waterproof. Also, it arrived very quickly and was great value for money, i'm very happy with it.
