shoe material was like old canvas, thought it was different. son likes shoes- all is good. true to size.

These are cool shoes. They are much wider than Chuck Taylors and actually have some arch support. They do run shorter than Chuck Taylors, though. The size 6 in these fits like a 5.5 in Chucks lengthwise, so be aware of that if you're trying to use your other Converse shoes as a gauge. I don't really like the "fat" shoelaces on these either, but that's easily remedied. One other note: I believe the product description mentions suede uppers, but this is incorrect. They are your standard canvas, a bit "distressed". Works for me!

This a good every day sneaker. I like the unisex styling that Converse offers. I have a wide foot and need extra room in the toe box. This sneaker offers just that. Also, it is a basic sneaker, not too costly, but looks good enough to wear with jeans, shorts, summer skirts, etc. It offers a bit more comfort than the usual "skate shoe", a bit more arch than that type of shoe. I am seriously thinking of ordering another pair, before I am unable to get that style again. Thanks Converse, I love the retro styles you offer. And thanks to Overstock, for offering such a reasonable price!

These are great sneakers to wear with jeans. Snazzy look, very comfortable. Great value through Overstock.

I would like them better if they came with shorter shoestrings, they are verrry comfy:)
