Connected Apparel Women's One-shoulder Grecian Dress

While the dress is cute, I was suprised at the way the waist and fabric falls. I guess I didn't realize in the description or photos, but the fabric at the waist kind of pleats up on one side and then a fabric "swatch" kind of hangs down. It is a little strange and not particlularly becoming. I guess this is why they call it a "Grecian" dress - because it hangs down like a toga. The shoulder part of the dress was nice, but the opposite arm does not fit snugly nor does it curve like the picture shows - it is very straight angled down from the other sholder "strap". The dress is very comfortable and fits a little large - I could've gone a size down.

I just tried on my dress in a size 10. I actually ordered a 10 and a 12. The 12 will be returned asap so someone else can grab it. My only problem is that I either lost a few pounds or the dress runs a tad large, I would get a better fit in an 8 but there are no more 8s in stock!!! That's why I actually signed on. I should have realized that based on the fabric, one size smaller would have been just perfect. Will take it to the tailor to see if he can tighten the fit a bit. I need it for this Saturday! :)

This dress is NOT AS PICTURED!!!!It is beautiful as pictured online. However, in person it comes with a tied up waist that I'm not so sure I like. I think that it will CREATE a larger midsection. (that's coming from someone who likes wearing belts on the waist in order to create shape!)The fabric is GREAT. It's a nice quality, which makes it perfect for formal events.It's a flexible, light fabric. If you're going to be dancing, I recommend wearing a support undergarment (girdle). Shows every jiggle as you walk or dance.It is an excellent value and fits true to size.I would rather have it as pictured with a plain front rather than the tied up waist.

This dress was probably the best purchase that I have made on Overstock thus far. I am planning to wear it for a New Year Eve's Party. The dress is very comfortable and stylish, but it is machine washable. Although the dress is very stylish, there is no need to send it to the dry cleaners after every wear.

I really like the unique look of this dress. It's really pretty, and excellent for a wedding or cocktails.
