      Like the previous reviewer, I ordered a 16. However, as I have "bloomed" to an 18 (on the bottom at least) in the past few months, I knew I'd have a bit of work to do to fit into it by January, but as it turns out, not too much. I'm smaller on the top--still a D cup, though--so I suppose this may run a little small, but not as bad as I expected considering it's a semi-formal dress. It looked very small to me right out of the package, too, but I hope the previous reviewer tries it on before she sends it back! Yes, the red is a little darker, but it's a rich, sophisticated color, and I consider it an improvement over the picture. It appears to be well-constructed, and the halter top works in such a way that you can adjust the top of the dress to fit your torso length. This is important to me as I am 5'4" with long legs (32" inseam) and a short torso. Length-wise, it comes to a few inches below my knee. I wish it hit right below the knee, but I realize that at 5'4" that's not likely, but if you are a few inches taller than I am, or built differently, of course your results will vary. Also the halter can be used to adjust the length a little bit. Finally, and most importantly, this dress made me feel feminine and beautiful. Isn't that the best thing a dress can do?

      This dress is stunning. It fits exactly true to size and the color is perfect, deep chocolate brown. The material is fantastic and a bargain for the price. I highly recommend this dress! The shipping was pretty quick too, about 4 days only!

    • Perfect Cocktail Dress!

      I bought this dress for a holiday party...I didn't want to wear the usual little black dress. This red halter dress was perfect. I tried it on and modelled it for my husband and kids. They loved it. My son and daughter called me a princess. The fit is very comfortable and true to size -- I'm a size 10. The only issue was it was tough to get the zipper up through the gathered material. I would definitely recommend this dress if you're looking for something classy, yet updated and very comfortable.

    • SIZES DO NOT ADD UP

      First, I was very disappointed with the color, looked so much more like a brighter red, but once I ve gotten it in my hand it was no where near, iit looked almost between a burgundy en darker shade red color. 2nd the most important is the SIZE, have ordered a size XL(16), does NOT look no where that size, the dress looks like a MEDIUM, just when I took it out of the package and held it up I knew right away, I would NOW have to return this back. Even if they had a size higher, which they do not carry, it still would not fit!!! Anyone who is ordering from this brand name, be aware of this company sizes. They do not make these size like they just do, back in the days, I sure come to find out over and over, your will never know until you have the piece of clothing in your hand. In overall the dress is from a pretty material and now I have to return it back!!
