Stunning cocktail dress!
I ordered this as a bridesmaid's dress where the bride said "the color is eggplant--get whatever dress you like as long as it's eggplant." After searching all the "normal" retailers like *** and *** and coming up short, I logged onto Overstock and found this gem. The shine of the satin is almost hypnotic--it's textured a bit, not super smooth and shiny in a way that says "BRIDESMAID DRESS!!!" so it catches the light in a dazzling way. The shutter pleats get closer together around the waist, helping slim the area and creating a nice hourglass flow. It is quite fitted but there's a bit of stretch to keep it formfitting and comfortable. I got terrific comments from the bride and wedding guests about how I looked and better yet I can actually wear this again. (On a side note originally the bride picked out $375 dresses for us! This dress is way cheaper and way more beautiful.)
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Perhaps it is a little more purple--but it's definitely in the eggplant realm.
