I LOVE my new Espresso colored Cole Haan coat. I wore it to work and the ladies in my office practically mobbed me. They all wanted to know where I got it. They told me that it was sleek, modern and that it had very clean lines. I love, love, love this new coat. This was a very smart purchase.

I love this coat more every day. I bought it in April, prior to moving overseas to a very cold country, and when I first tried it on, I wasn't so sure about it. However, now that the cold weather has broken out, I find that this coat has absolutely everything I need. First, there are two deep, easily accessible pockets on the outside, (big enough for gloved hands), as well as a great inner pocket-- perfect for winter when my jackets start to double as a purse. I love that it buttons all the way up to the neck so that I stay warm. The cowl neck wasn't that huge or dramatic, but it's different enough to stand out among all the other black pea coats. The fact that you can wear it different ways is great and makes it so much more versatile. It's also twice as thick as any other winter coat I've owned, which I so appreciate now that it's 30 degrees and only October. It definitely runs big-- I'm normally a size 10 and the 8 is still nice and loose over a regular shirts, and just perfect over a bulky sweater. The sleeves are a bit long on my petite, 5"3 frame, but I may decide to have them altered. It hangs beautifully and is really flattering on a curvy figure. I kind of felt like a rockstar walking down the road wearing this and when I got home the first time after wearing it, I was reluctant to take it off. The quality of this coat is just outstanding. The super soft satin lining, the feel of the wool, all the little details-- I'm so glad I sucked up the cost and went for better quality.

I can't say enough how pleased I was when I tried this coat on and saw how wonderful it looked. Packed with style and very slimming. The collar is NOT stiff. Buttoned up it forms a perfect cowl collar or leave flat for an asymmetrical look...either way, you'll love it. I'm going to Paris this winter and wanted something that would be warm, but not scream "only about comfort"... I ordered the size I normally wear and it fits perfectly with enough room to accommodate a sweater if needed. No need to choose function over fashion with this coat...it's a double handful of both!

This is a great looking coat and a pretty swell value. The wool is substantial, but not overly heavy or uncomfortable to wear. Stylish design and modern, as another reviewer pointed out. Love the roomy pockets. While the collar is perhaps the most dominating feature of this coat, the versatility of being able to wear it up or down or folded over into a loose cowl style is a plus on those cold days. The photo, incidentally, is an accurate depiction of the coat....so what you see is truly what you'll get. If you don't like exaggerated collar styles, this might not be for you.

I returned this item. I ordered it based on the previous positive reviews, but (1) it did not fit very well over the chest and shoulders, and I have a pretty standard body shape, (2) the material was not very soft, (3) and the collar was HUGE! I tried it on several times, but alas, nothing was going to make that stiff, large collar attractive.

I got this coat (black) for Christmas. It is beautiful! Sizing was fine (8-10). The knee length was perfect. The weight of the coat was just right and that collar is very cool!

First, let me say I did expect this coat to be a tad thicker in "feel" considering it's price. I've had less expensive coats that were weightier/thicker in feel after all...but don't let that all by itself discourage you from picking up this lovely coat. It really is just as the previous reviewer described, and more. Very rich color and stylish/modern details set it apart from your average wool pea coat. I typically wear an 8/10 in coats. Got this in a 10 and it fit perfectly, right down to the sleeves which are the best length of any coat I currently own.The styling is of a walking coat that would work equally as well over a dress for a night on the town. The hidden buttons are a nice touch and pockets are deep enough to submerge your hands into for warmth, even with gloves on. The envelope collar is a unique feature. It can be buttoned up into a loose funnel/cowl neck style if you so choose. Very pretty.Helpful hint for those of you who follow Overstock's sizing guide for coats (which you may notice is the same for every brand of coat), Instead, you might also want to check the individual designer's website for their sizing recommendations. You may be surprised to find a size 8 on O's site is different from DKNY's size 8. Often higher end designer coats do not run true to size, but tend towards being a bit smaller. Save yourself the extra trip to the post office!
