I had seen this item on line and was attracted by several features - the removable lining to accommodate different seasons, the length (difficult to get a longer coat to give protection), the hood, and the fractional fitting. This is very well made and good value. The only aspect of the product that one needs to be conscious of is that it is very much on the small side. I normally take size 40S, but it required me to make several exchanges to get the right size in this of 44. Still - glad I finally got one that fits as it is very well made.

I love this coat, I got the black version. The color is a true black, not a reddish black and not a dark navy, just black black. The fabric is a good quality, warm but not overly bulky but not cheep thin either. Very nicely tailored and well constructed. The lining is a quilted shiny black and matches the shell nicely. The buttons are metal and are riveted on securely. It was plenty warm when I was out in 20 degree weather. It looks good with or without the removable inner bib. If you take out the bib you can't zip up the coat anymore. It just does not work like that. The outer pockets, It has 2 not 4 (at least the one got did not have the upper pockets) They are very deep. I put both gloves, my keys (with a pepper spay can on them), my Galaxy 3 phone (in Otter box), and a pack of cigarettes (I smoke 100's) and Zippo all in one pocket and still had room to put my hand in there when I was walking, and it was not crowded. I could dig around to pull out what I was looking for without taking things out. The inner pocket is deep too, I just have not seen how much I could put in there yet. It would hold a thick checkbook easily and still button close. If you are leery about this coat because of the lower cost (I paid $**.** on Overstock.com) compared to some other coats. Don't be, this is a nice coat and a great value for the money. Now to point out the flaws on my new favorite Pea Coat. The sizes they have listed on the size chart don't match the coat. I am a chubby guy. 5'5" with a 42 inch chest, waist and hips. Looked at the size chart, saw I needed a Large or Extra Large (if I wanted to wear a sweater under this). I ordered the extra large. The thing was huge. Had a friend who wears a 46 put it in, he was swimming in it also. I returned it and got a Medium. Still a little big but fits OK, better with a thick sweater on. There was no Small available when I ordered. If you are or have a big guy who likes this style of coat but thinks he can't wear them because they never look right (my issue), This coat looks good and hangs right even if you have a gut. Several of my chubby/fat friends have wanted to tried it on and it looks good and hangs right on all of them. On a style note. My personal style is to wear a scarf under the collar hanging down either side. I got a 7 inch wide fleece scarf. it does not fit under there well. The color lays down flat in back and even this thin scarf was to bulky and ruined the clean look.

Beautiful coat. Went with this color as it will match black, brown and navy. The wool blend is nice and solid. Certain that it will provide warmth this winter. Length was somewhat longer than expected. I'm only 5'7 so coat hits below the knee. However, the length looks fine with a suit. Very pleased with this product and the price.

After some time online researching pea coats, I decided on this Nautica coat. The wool blend, the price, the other reviews and the brand sold me on the purchase. My decision was a good one. The coat material has a heavier, quality feel that I very much appreciate. Quality of construction seems excellent. I like the traditional navy buttons. The I usually wear a medium (a 40R in suit coats) and the medium in this coat fit me perfectly. Not yet cold enough to wear it, but I expect it to be warm with room to layer. A great purchase.

I agree with the other reviewers about the pockets. There are no holes yet, but the stitches appear to be getting undone already. Fortunately, the part where it appears to be fraying is at the top, so i won't have a hole at the bottom if it happens. If it happens, I can always stitch it back... a little hassle. Too bad, this jacket looks very nice only to be ruined by poor workmanship in the pockets. It's like a good movie with a bad ending. For this reason I am giving it a 3 stars, middle of the road. I'll still keep the jacket because it really looks nice, and it is so darn hard to find a brownish 3/4 length jacket in the stores...they all seem to carry black and navy...must be an influence from China.

Purchased this coat for my son for Christmas. He loves it. Not just a rain coat but gives any outfit a classic look.

Size is really off. I usually wear a 43-44 but I thought I might wear a sportcoat under this so I went up to a 46. Wearing only a shirt the coatsleeves were about four inches from my wrist and I could barely zip the coat closed (no, I'm not fat!). I think these were mislabeled at production. Quality and design were excellent.
