  This is a great overshirt but it is not soft flannel and it is more of a jacket or something to wear over a t-shirt or thermal than to wear alone. It is heavy and the cotton is kind of rough. I ordered one size up to allow for shrinkage. It's not what I thought I was ordering, but my husband liked it for what it turned out to be.

  I am pleased with my purchase of the shirt; however,I would not be pleased at all if I had not read other reviewers comment on the bizarre size difference. I usually wear a medium and because of the reviewers' recommendations I ordered an XL. It fits nicely.
