Pros: This dress is comfortable and chic. The stretch satin is forgiving to many body types, and looks very elegant. This dress has a classic look, which won't go out of style. The bias stitching gives the dress some visual interest. I am pear-shaped and was worried that the dress would not work over my tummy, but the stitching and stretch hide the problem area pretty well. Overall, a great, versatile LBD. Cons: This is going to be tough to dress down, because of the fabric sheen and one-shoulder. It will always be a great party/holiday/cocktail dress, and is better suited for a more dressy occasion. I am smaller up top and was surprised how fitted the top was?great for me, but I am not sure if this would be good for a girl with bigger boobs (perhaps the stretch helps out?). I tried to Dryell the dress in order to remove the post-shipping wrinkles, but it was a no-go. I also tried using an iron and steaming it with a sheet; it also was ineffective. For this reason, it is definitely a dry-clean only dress, which was a little disappointing, since Dryell is a blessing to save some $$$.
It fits so well and quality of the fabric is amazing.
I bought this dress for a wedding and I really liked it. It fits nicely, though the sizes run a little big - I probably should have gotten one size smaller. The dress doesn't lie quite as smooth as it appears to in the photo, but the seams are a nice touch and give it detail that other black dresses do not have. All in all, it is a great dress and I'm sure I'll wear it again.
This dress is fabulous - it fits true to size, and the spandex in the fabric gives it just the right amount of stretch to make it comfortable to move around in. Put on a strapless bra, big earrings and great heels and you are good to go. Nice substantial material, and the bias seaming is very figure flattering. I saw this dress at my local upscale department store for $50 more.
