I have 2 pairs of Brumby boots and I love them. The first pair of boots I ordered in a size 8 and after I broke them in they were too big. So I ordered another pair of boots in size a 7. They are snug for about a week and then after I broke them in they are the perfect size. The fluff wears down and the shoe therefor becomes bigger. So I order my slippers in a 7 and it was exactly the same as the boots, Perfect! So I would recommend ordering a size below what you normally would wear. My friend has the more expensive brand and the soles on the Brumby slippers is way superior to hers.
The slipper has a very nice plush top...but the bottom is too flat and so it doesn't feel like it should for the price. The top rides high up and that took some getting used to....I am used to it now.. I kept them because I really needed some slipppers and didn't wan to go thru the hassle of the return and had sent a pair as a gift before I had received mine...but I wouldn't have purchased them if I had tried them on in a store. The reviews were very good so my expectations were higher. After some Christmas shopping I found better slippers for the same price out there.
The sole seems to be made of a hard plastic or something. I gave these to my girlfriend and she can't wear them. It is like walking around on scraps of lumber. The fur is nice enough, but there is no padding underfoot, just the rock-hard sole. It seems like any sort of quality control should have caught this flaw in material choice.
