I walked a marathon in Brooks Axiom shoes in 2008. When I needed new shoes, I couldn't find Brooks Axiom shoes, so I bought another kind. They didn't fit as well as the Axioms and I ended up hurting my foot so I had to have surgery on it. i had to find a new pair of my old shoes. I searched the internet for Axiom. I found my old shoes, but they don't make them anymore, Brooks had moved on to Axiom 3. I took a chance that they would be the same and they are, just a different color. Perfect shoes for me. I hope Brooks doesn't stop making them.
I am very happy with the price, quality and look of the shoe I ordered. It feels a little smaller than the shoes I have, which I was replacing. These are just the newer model. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this shoe to someone else because it's a personal choice, but they've been great for me.
I love these shoes, usually I purchase only the GTS 7's, however, these are hard to find now as they have been discontinued. The Axiom 3 shoes are almost identical to the GTS 7's. I have low arches and the Axioms are able to accommodate my arch supports perfectly. The fit is great and they are comfortable and attractive. Right now, I am using them only for general everyday wear, as I don't want to get them dirty on the trails, I use my old Brooks for trail jogs, but I am confident that these shoes would do just as well on trail runs.
I've worn Brooks running shoes for years and love the roomy toebox they provide...and these shoes are no exception. My 'normal' size in a Brooks shoe is 7 1/2 and that's what I ordered. The 'Axiom 3' is really short. I kept the shoes, but would really be more comfortable in a size 8. Good shoe for the price. Beware the sizing!
I love these shoes. I ordered a half size bigger as indicated and they fit perfect! These sneakers felt like I'd had them for years the first time I put them on. They were a great value! I will be purchasing these again when the need arises! Thanks for another great product at a terrific price!!
