These boots are really nice looking but they are too small and too tight. I normally wear a size 9 in boots, but these were so uncomfortable. I am returning the boots. I ordered the black and the brown pair as they are were so appealing in their apperance, as I'm a big fan of vintage-looking lace-up boots. I would recommend these to a friend but suggest at least a size larger than normal.

The leather feels cheap - you'll get what you pay for.

I love the old fashion look. Most leather boots have to be broken in and then look worn out. These do not. I put them on and WOW, they felt like they had been broken in already but still looked new! Soft and comfortable. A little slick on the bottom, but put no slip rubber on bottom from local shoe store and no problem.

I really like the style of these boots, which I bought in the black. I especially love the side zipper on each boot, which allows me to slip them on and off easily without having to lace and unlace them every time. The leather, while on the stiff side rather than buttery soft, looks and feels fine; mine wasn't scratched or distressed as some other reviewers have complained. I agree with other reviewers that the soles are quite slick; I had to rough up the bottoms to feel safe wearing them out in the ice and snow. My biggest concern is that the heels are higher than I expected. Overstock's online product description says the heels are 2.75" but I'm not sure how that's measured. The heels on my boots are 4" at their highest point, which is at the back of the heel, and the pitch from the heel down to the toe is very steep, so I'm finding them much less comfortable to wear and walk around in than I'd hoped. The shaft is also higher than I'd thought -- it rises about 5" from my ankle bone -- but that's fine; it gives me plenty of ankle support. All in all, I love the look of the boots and think they were a great deal, but I wish they were more comfortable to wear.

These boots are super cute but very stiff and slippery. I sort of felt like I had braces on when I wore them, they really take a while to break in too.

great style, love the worn leather look. bad things: bottom is slippery, but easy to attach gripper things.

I love how the boot looks when it is on. Makes Your foot look smaller then it really his. But it does not run true to size, I had to buy a size larger.

The boot does have cute looks, but the color (brown) looks darker than it appears in the pictures also with some kinda marks. The leather was harsh to me and also it did not feel as comfortable as I expected. But if you are used to high heels and not-soft material-shoes, this pair is of good design with great value for this winter.

When the boots arrived, they looked as though someone had scraped them along the sides with a sharp object. The appearance was a let down.

Excellent quality leather half boots. I love the look and feel of them. They are a bit steeper then expected when wearing, other then that they are perfect.

cute, good heel, practical and very comfortable. Wore them to a music festival the first time and was very pleased that they stood up well to the outdoor surroundings and were very comfortable

The boot is very nice. like all shoes you have to break them in and then they become more comfortable. The heel is wonderful, good for walking. The boot looks great with skirts and boot cut pants. ... Be careful because my boot came with one shoe string( one boot came without a shoe string) but I just simply went to a show store and got new shoe strings. Overall the boots are great!!!!
