I loved this checkbook cover. The quality is great - the leather is stitched evenly and the quality of the leather 'feels' right. The two things i didn't like is that it is a little thicker than i expected (iI guess because t has an extra slat/pocket inside - to hold those pesky receipts when you're in a hurry). No big deal. I was actually looking for something less 'elaborate' but this is definitely more than i expected. The other thing i didn't like is that I have a tough time fitting my checks into the slat pocket. It appears that if the slat was just 1/16th" wider, i wouldn't have to cram and stuff and bend the back of the checks in the pocket that holds that cardboard stiffener thingie on the back of the book of checks. So i did what you can always do with good quality leather - i stretched it out a tad and now it works okay. I suppose the tightness of that pocket is good because cheaper checkbook covers ALWAYS seem to not be able to hold the checks and they slip out all the time. I would say: Way to go - good buy.

Although the quality of the leather is good, I am very disappointed that I am not able to fit my standard-sized checks in the checkbook at all! No one should have crammed, crumpled up checks and ledgers when purchasing such a standard item. What good is it to have an item made with such quality and it can't even be used for the purpose you bought it for...and to add insult to injury - the item is not returnable...what a waste!

WHEN I GO OUT TO ANY STORE OR EVEN TO GET GAS, ALL I NEED TO TAKE WITH ME IS THE CHECK BOOK WALLET. IT HAS EVERYTHING I NEED IN IT TO SHOP ANYWHERE. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. This checkbook cover is well made and looks good. Like previous reviews said about this product, you need to do some adjusting to make your standard checks fit properly into this cover. Also, US paper money does not fit without folding it. If you can live with this, this checkbook cover works well and there are slots for credit cards and ID.

It's very difficult to find a leather checkbook that isn't expensive. This one is attractive, good leather, places to put credit cards and just what I wanted.

Nice leather, but it is difficult to get your checkbook in it. I think that will improve over time. It is made of good quality material. Have used it for several months now and it has worn well.

this looks and feels much more expensive than it is. The credit card slots make it too bulky for me, but I can see why someone who has a lot of cards would appreciate it. All in all, had I seen it before buying I think I would have purchased it, but would really prefer something sleeker.
